Future Problem Solving

My teacher has reminded me about FPS, or Future Problem Solving. We follow a six- step process to “solve” possible future problems, hence the name, Future Problem Solving. For example, our two topics so far this year have been Olympics and Cyber Conflict, small problems now that can turn into bigger problems later. Visit this site to learn more.

Bored!

I have a problem! I am completely bored! Please help! Comment and give me ideas!

Of Phones and Cells

Well, I’m gonna just cut to the chase here. I got a new cell phone. I used to have a pink razor, but now I have a Venus. It has a touch screen and it slides. The coolest part was that it was only $30! Cell phones are cool, but the sad truth is that they are not essential to life. I know, shocking, right? Well, it’s true. They are great and sometimes useful, but to tell you the truth I do not use mine that often. Your parents probably have a good reason for not letting you have one.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Country Music

I am in a country music curve. I like country music. It is like a story in a song, and it is interesting. I like Julianne Hough and Taylor Swift. Please comment about your favorite types of music. I am interested about what other people listen to!

Dancing With the Stars- THE FINALE!

Well, it is over. Brooke and Derek were the champions, Warren and Kim were in second, and Lance and Lacey were third. Now we have to wait until March for another season. Wow.

Dancing With the Stars

I am watching Dancing With the Stars right now. It is second to last episode, because tommorw is the end. There is one star, or celebrity, and one professional dancer. The judges score them, and America votes by texting or calling for their favorite couple. These scores are combined and the couple with the least combined scores goes home. Eventually, there is one champion! I love this show because I enjoy watching the dances and they also have guest singers. If you haven’t watched it, I highly suggest your turn your TV on tomorrow night and watch the final!

The Calder Game

I have not finished it, but I am currently reading The Calder Game by Blue Balliett. I’m sure that if you haven’t read at least one of them that you have heard of them, but The Calder Game is the third book in a series including Chasing Vermeer and The Wright Three. These books feature Petra Andalee, Tommy Segovia, and Calder Pillay. In The Calder Game, Calder goes to England with his dad for a week. While there, Calder disappears along with a sculpture by the famous Alexander Calder, after whom Calder is named. I am only on page 270 of 375, but I can’t put it down. Page after page leads into one another and you just keep flipping and flipping and flipping. One night, I told my dad I would finish the page and go to bed. I forgot because I got wrapped up in the book and read several more chapters before I put the book down. This is a great book, and I am sure that if you read it you will love it.
